This basic fly fishing class is for children (10+) and adults who want to learn about the sport of fly fishing. The class provides an overview into fly fishing Texas waters, fly fishing tackle, flies, fly casting, fish habitats, fish identification, safety and Texas game laws. Participants may bring their own fly fishing outfits. Be prepared for south Texas weather conditions. Bring sunglasses, headgear, and long-sleeved shirt.
The class will be held at 31940 Cactus Road, San Benito, Texas from 8:30 - noon. Contact Dr. Reynaldo "Rey" Ramirez to register for the class and driving directions.
